"It's probably the hardest course I've ever raced. It's uniquely demanding. It's a lot different than normal cross-country World Cup courses, extremely tough, but fun, too."
— Max Plaxton
1st place 2012 Nimby Fifty, 2011 Canadian National XC Champion
"If you haven't had the pleasure of riding in Pemberton this race will be a fantastic introduction to a truley world class trail network ... Epic is an overused word these days but this race has the potential to be a true classic."
— Jason Shorter
Steed Cycles Team Rider

"Thanks fellas for the best single day event in the world! Great trails, well organized, cool location, oh, and I heard the after party was fun as well!"
— Colin Kerr
1st place 2010 Nimby Fifty
Racers can "line up" wherever you like!
There will be an area cordoned off at the front of the start chute for pro/elite riders.
The race will go rain or shine. The weather in Pemberton can be considerably warmer than the coast and, by considerable, we mean 5 to 10 degrees. So if it's 20 celcius in Vancouver it's completely feasible that it could be 30 celcius in Pemberton. Yeah, that warm. So plan ahead, stay hydrated and bring lots of water!
The race is approximately 40 km in length (but is most likely to feel like 50 km), boasting a lung busting 101 switchbacks of pristine single-track climbing. You get’n the picture? This ain’t your typical XC race. The Nimby Fifty is what we refer to as a technical marathon xc bike race which means it is absolutely loaded with incredible single track.
To wet you appetite for all things Nimby we have put together a full course description page where you can read about and watch YouTube videos of key trail sections, and download a map of the course. Be sure to check it out prior to registering.
